Day Seven: Bobby's Scary Fish!

The (Cyber) Bag of Weasels

"About as much fun as a bag of weasels"...when I first saw this Irish adage, it made me think of the life of a writer: sometimes perilous, sometimes painful, certainly interesting. My paper journal has always been called "The Bag of Weasels." This is the Bag of Weasels' online home.

Day Seven: Bobby's Scary Fish!

When we came back from the "secret beach," we went back to our beach. This is a rough life!

I've worked through the first two chapters of revision for AMC. Yay!

For supper, we went to Alexandra's. I had the plantain soup--a local recipe--and then risotto again, since I really enjoy that. Bobby had shrimp kabob and fried red snapper. Being somewhat of a country bumpkin, I expected...well, a few fried filets? But no! It came out as the whole fish. with head, fins, gills, eyes, and all! It was scary! I couldn't look at it...but it reaffirmed how glad I am to be vegetarian!

Bobby loved it but I couldn't quite watch my husband tucking into a carcass with such aplomb, so I moved my waterglass to block it! :^P

After supper, we went for a few hours to enjoy the pool at night. Over the mountains was a vicious thunderstorm, so we got a pretty spectacular lightshow.

By the time we'd moved to the beach, it was beginning to move over us, so we weren't outside for long.
