Freelance Writing Opportunity

The (Cyber) Bag of Weasels

bread and puppet

"About as much fun as a bag of weasels"...when I first saw this Irish adage, it made me think of the life of a writer: sometimes perilous, sometimes painful, certainly interesting. My paper journal has always been called "The Bag of Weasels." This is the Bag of Weasels' online home.

Freelance Writing Opportunity

My sister and sister-in-law own a company with several niche websites. They are looking for freelance writers to write articles for these sites, as their business has grown to the point where providing this content themselves is no longer an option. The sites focus on fundraising, charities, essay writing, parties, and gifts.

Since I know a lot of writers, I am passing on word that they are hiring freelance writers. They offer a lot of flexibility and freedom in assignments. If you think you might be interested in writing for them, even if you've never written freelance before, please comment here with your email address, and I will send along more information about the project, including contact information to apply for the position. Comments are screened, and I won't unscreen any comments on this post.

  • I can add a little rec to that: I've been writing for them for a couple of months. They're very nice about things, don't reject stuff out of hand if it needs a few edits, and pay promptly.

The pay's about the same as DMS if you just go by word count, though the assignments are shorter, so it's a little less per article. But they have fewer rules about style, so they don't take as much time as a DMS article.

Thanks, Dawn, for hooking me up with them!
  • I'm going to unscreen this one so that it can be seen that someone less biased than me thinks my sister and sis-in-law's company is awesome! :) Thanks, Dreamflower!
  • I have no experience with DMS so I can't say anything concerning that - but as for the rest, I heartily second this comment. :)
